"The Woz" on the Season Eight of ABC's "Dancing with the Stars!

An all new cast of celebrities hits the dance floor on ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars” with the highly anticipated two-hour season premiere, MONDAY, MARCH 9, 2009 (8:00-10:02 p.m., ET) on ABC. Season Eight introduces us to 13 stars making their ballroom dancing debut:

BELINDA CARLISLE, DAVID ALAN GRIER, JEWEL, SHAWN JOHNSON, LIL’ KIM, GILLES MARINI, TY MURRAY, STEVE-O, NANCY O’DELL, DENISE RICHARDS, LAWRENCE TAYLOR, CHUCK WICKS, and STEVE WOZNIAK.

America now has its head turned and is focusing on "the head nerd, in whose shadow all others dwell". How did that happen? Beats me. It doesn't take a genius to figure out Woz isn't exactly Fred Astair. All I know is that he's not just dancing for himself, he's dancing for all of us. Especially if you've ever been told you can't do something based on the way you look, well, you know what I mean. Here's the thing: You advance on Dancing With The Stars almost totally on audience appeal and voting. The judges votes hardly matter at all. You can score zero and everyone else score the max, and if you have 6% more viewer votes, you win. Lets show the world what the power of technology can do (if you get my drift). I'm sure we can organize something. We have until March 9th. I'm all ears. And maybe check out Woz' Facebook page as well.

Viewers may cast their votes for their favorite teams via phone on Monday night during and up to 30 minutes after the “Dancing with the Stars” performance shows. AT&T subscribers may also text message their votes by texting the word “VOTE” and entering the number that corresponds to the team they want to support (standard text message rates apply). Viewers may also vote online at www.abc.com starting from the opening of each episode on the East Coast and until 12:00 Noon, ET the following day.
