If it’s the elite of the world that influence the behavior of the masses, better book your hotel in China this year before rooms fill up.
In the same week that the web and Twitter worlds have been following visits to China by Apple CEO Tim Cook and Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, it was announced today that yet another U.S. tech luminary will be coming to the Middle Kingdom: Steve Wozniak, co-founder of Apple with Steve Jobs.
Rather than spending all of his time with geeks, Wozniak will be in Shanghai to press the flesh with (yikes!) members of the International Council of Shopping Centers at the Retail Real Estate World Summit, a “multinational forum to address and shape the critical role and socio-economic impact of the worldwide property market.”
Let’s hope Wozniak also finds time to inspire some Chinese geeks. He has plenty of time to work on it: The conference will be held September 12-14.
