William Shatner will boldly go where no man has gone before at the first-ever Silicon Valley Comic Con.

The actor forever revered as Captain Kirk from “Star Trek” will be beaming into the inaugural year of the convention, the brainchild of tech icon Steve Wozniak. The science fiction icon will take the helm of a special 50th anniversary celebration for “Star Trek” as part of the con, which will run March 18-20, 2016, at San Jose’s Convention Center. Set your phasers on stunning for a three-day expo of comics, TV, technology, science and, of course, cosplay.

Echoing Spock, Shatner said in a release: “It’s only logical to celebrate the 50th anniversary of ‘Star Trek’ alongside technology that was only science fiction when ‘Star Trek’ first began.”

For the record, Woz, like many of the Valley’s tech elite, is a huge Trek fan. He aspires to make SVCC a pop culture and tech extravaganza that will delight fanboys and tech geeks alike.

The show “inspired generations of engineers, scientists, directors, writers and artists,” said the tech giant in a release.

Tickets, ranging from $10 to $890, are now available. SVComicCon.com
