Surprising trivia this morning about the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory—which centers on comically geeky physicist roommates—and Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak. The former so poignantly captures the social awkwardness of the science- and engineering-minded that it moves the latter to tears. “I really, totally empathize with all the [characters] that have relationship problems,” Wozniak recently told Vulture, “because I was there at a part in my life, and I still don’t really know how to talk to people. When I hear them talking normal small talk in parties, I don’t know what to say.” Wozniak is so impressed by the series, which he TiVos regularly, that he has watched all six seasons twice, the second time while taking notes. “There are parts where I cry—all that relationship stuff. . .I can’t wait to see season seven.”

Lest we think that it’s an extraordinary feat thatThe Big Bang Theory managed to move Woz to tears, he says that he is a somewhat easy cry: “I cry at movies real easy, real easy. . . I cry at almost every movie we go to. I cry over the fact that somebody could make something so beautiful.”
