World
Ummm, no not that MacWorld. This is a site by a portuguese Mac user. He loves
the Mac, plain and simple and it shows in his site. His site is bi-lingual
one side english and the other portuguese. It contains MacFreeware - desktop
patterns, desktop pictures, startup screens, icons, sounds, games, iBadges,
MacCartoons and MacLinks. It's pretty cool, you should check it out. One
really neat thing is the Mac Plus paper cutout kit you can download for free.
I think I'm going to download it and make one for my desk right now.

This
website proudly proclaims, "Out of all the Mac websites out there,

to say, this site is VERY well put together. It has message boards

I actually found useful), articles, downloads, polls, free e-mail,
you name it. Come to think of it, this site is better than mine. Maybe
I
shouldn't be giving you the link. So on second thought, forget I mentioned

Prototypes, Clones, and Hacks!
Ever see a working Mac with a case built out of Mega Bloks? How about
a Mac case built out of popsicle sticks? Curious about Apple prototypes?
Clones? This site covers the full range of Apple oddities. You might
say it's slightly "Frankensteinian" .? My favorite is the
Macintosh built into a Zenith radio case (circa late 40's). I wouldn't expect

Mac "Yellow
Pages"
This site is incredible! It's loaded with GREAT stuff, vendors, resources,
services...I'd call it the "Mac Yellow Pages" except that
would probably be a copyright infringement. So I won't call it the "Mac
Yellow Pages" to keep everything legal. Although I'd say if it
were called the "Mac Yellow pages" (which it isn't) it would
probably be a good name for it. So instead of calling it "Mac Yellow
Pages", lets just say news, releases, software, hardware, employment,
training and more can be found in this site that is very similar to
that yellow book that you use at home that sits by the phone.

Its the only new coding language that Woz even bothers to use. This
site has a really clean and simple way of using these scripts. Nice
descriptions and easy downloading. If you've never tried using AppleScript,
or even if you're a veteran, give this site a look see. It will be well
worth your time.

Links Galore
I don't often use the word "galore" but I couldn't think of a better
one to describe this site. It has everything. When you see all the
Mac
links, it looks like a zillion. I think in reality they have close
to 500. Since you are the type of people that read my little reviews,
I
suggest all three of you go to this site. Its incredible.
Megamac
E-mail Rules
I'd like to say that this site is full of rich meaningful content,
but it's not. I'd like to say that I was dazzled by their insight and
cool
downloads but I'm not. So why is it the current favorite link? E-mail.
You can get some incredibly cool, Mac-based e-mail addressses here,
all "FREE". I'm sure you'll end up getting junkmail from them, but so
what. What better way to show your Mac pride than with domains like
these: macseatdriver.com, mac-consultant.net, macteachers.com, maclover.com,
macinsane.com to name a few. The site is currently operating in what
they refer to as "stealth-mode" so I imagine it will eventually be
populated with useful Mac nuggets. Until then...GET YOUR E-MAIL address

www.SecureMac.com

I've seen a lot of Mac sites. Most of them give useful information

thing, security. If you are at all interested in protecting your Mac,
you must visit this site. It contains a comprehensive listing of MAC
ONLY security program reviews as well as tips on how to keep hackers
at bay. Of couse you may be a hacker, in which case, forget I said
that.

MPEG2Works
If you do any kind of video on your Mac, and lets face it, who doesn't, you will need this application. Pretty much converts anything to anything as far as video codecs go. "MPEG2 Works 4 Advanced" is also a good one that this company provides. It's shareware so the most you will spend on it is $25. With all the digital cameras out there taking movies now, apps like this one are an essential part of your toolbox.

Do
YOU have a site, or KNOW of a Mac or Apple site, that's worthy of being
listed on Woz.org?
He'll check it out and if it measure's up, it will be "Listed on
Woz.org"!
Want
to link to woz.org?
Pick up art banners here.
UseThis.com
Enter at your own risk! Be VERY cautious with this website. I went there just to check it out. Its a list of "most used" Mac apps and shareware. There are a lot of sites like this out there. But with this one, I got sucked in. I mean, you can't get away. There is an incredible amound of awesome programs listed with links and demos. I went without food and water for days just browsing all these apps. I'm recovering now, but you know, just consider yourself warned.

These are some of the nicest leather laptop cases I have run across. Very minimalistic, very slick, very Mac. They also have iPod and PSP cases.

Apple2Guide.net
"Apple2Guide.net was created as a starting point for those new to the Apple II and who want to get the most out their Apple II systems today as well as those who are simply interested in the Apple II series of computers and wish to learn more about them." Amazing to see the Apple ][ is still going strong.

www.tuaw.com
The "Unofficial Apple Weblog" is one of the better Apple blogs you will run across. Not to offend all the other Apple-related blogs out there, but ummm, this one rocks.

www.techsurvivors.net
Have a problem
with your Mac? Does it seem so obscure that nobody will be able
to help? I'd suggest a visit to TechSurvivors.net. They have
just celebrated their third anniversary as a completely free,
wholly volunteer Mac help site. Browsing the forums can be a
truly educational experience. Without the wait that you get at
the so-called "Expert Bars" in the Apple stores. I
wish there was a site like this for everything.
..Al
2guysamacandawebebsite
This site
is a good example of doing a site for the heck of it, or just
because you love using your Mac. Personally, I can't think of
a better reason. I really enjoy going to a site that looks like
it's creators were having fun. They provide useful tidbits and
knowledge that they have gathered simply because they like doing
it. In essence, this site typifies what the web is (or should
be) about. Sharing and having fun.

Apple
II :
a2central.com
Who
still uses an Apple II? LOTS of people. Why? Because
the machine is still just as facinating as it was two
decades ago. There is also a huge online community supporting
it. I would think that if you still plink around on
an Apple II, you'd know about this site. It would surely
be among your bookmarks since it is so useful as a resource.
It's one of the most amazing and feature filled Apple
II sites there is.Please don't tell me you haven't heard
of it. Tell you what, go there now, bookmark it, become
enlightened and avoid the guilt.
..Al
I have
to admit, I don't speak spanish*. But sometimes you just "know".
Born as a news site, Macuarium is now more of a MUG than any
other thing. It does have a small english
section, but I think for the spanish community, this site
is it. Macuarium reportedly gets over 400,000 page views per
month They edited one of the first Mac OSX user guides (as
a free PDF) as well as appear to be one of the oldest surviving
Mac sites out there. I think anyone interested in Macs and
the spanish language should make this a bookmark.
..Al
*We
could always try translations sites like dictionary.com
or babelfish
This site
is for the serious Mac game developer. It's not where you go to
download games, but where you go for source code and up to date
info on the industry. This is one of the most complete and well
thought out sites that exists for Mac game development that I've
seen. If you produce Mac games, you should have this site bookmarked
or even make it your home page.
..Al
This Mac
site is updated, judging from their front page, pretty much
on the hour. If there's somthing on the web being said about
the Mac, you'll probably find it on MacObserver. It also has
tips, editorials, columns, reviews and forums. Do a search on
the site for Woz. I got 37 matches! I'd say this is a must bookmark.
